This training guides providers through the Infant and Toddler Maine Early Learning and Development Standards (IT MELDS), which outline learning and development from birth to three. The training begins by orienting participants to the IT MELDS document. Participants then explore the developmental domains of learning, observation and planning, and family and community engagement. Emphasis on the importance of caring and responsive relationships is woven throughout the training. Intentional and play-based learning is a central theme. This training meets one of the requirements for Maine's Infant Toddler Credential.
